Combilipen: instructions, price, reviews and analogues

The combined multivitamin preparation is Combilipen. Instructions for use indicate that the injections have an effect on metabolic processes and normalize hematopoiesis. Combilipen helps with neuralgia and back pain.

Release form and composition

Combilipen is produced in the form of a solution for injection and tablets. The medicine in the form of a solution is contained in ampoules of 2 ml. Combilipen Tabs tablets are round, film-coated, white, biconvex.

Active components: Pyridoxine + Cyanocobalamin + Thiamine + [Lidocaine].

Combilipen injections contain the following active ingredients: thiamine hydrochloride – 50 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride – 50 mg, cyanocobalamin – 500 mcg, lidocaine hydrochloride – 10 mg.

The composition of 1 tablet of the drug includes: pyridoxine hydrochloride - 100 mg, benfotiamine - 100 mg, cyanocobalamin - 2 mcg.

pharmachologic effect

The product is a multivitamin complex consisting of several independent components. Vitamin B1 or thiamine hydrochloride is necessary to provide nerve tissue with glucose. Its deficiency provokes deformation and enlargement of nerve cellular structures, which lead to disruption of their functioning.

Vitamin B6 or pyridoxine hydrochloride is a direct participant in the metabolic processes of the central nervous system. Responsible for stability in the conduction of nerve impulses and responses to stimuli.

The role of vitamin B6 in the body

The element is involved in the production of adrenaline and norepinephrine, and in the transport of the ingredient of nerve sheaths - sphingosine. An excess of vitamin B6 can cause loss of sensitivity and numbness of the upper and lower extremities.

Vitamin B12 or cyanocobalamin - takes part in the production of choline, which is necessary for the production of acetylcholine, which is used by the body to conduct nerve impulses. The ingredient promotes the ripening of red blood cells, provides resistance to their destruction, and participates in the production of nucleic and folic acid, myelin. With its help, regeneration processes are accelerated at the cellular level.

What does Combilipen help with (injections, tablets)

Indications for use include a number of neurological pathologies:

  • polyneuropathy of different origins: (diabetic, alcoholic polyneuropathy);
  • trigeminal neuralgia;
  • inflammation of the facial nerve.

Why else is Combilipen prescribed?

The drug is used for pain in patients suffering from diseases of the spine (intercostal neuralgia, lumbar and cervical syndrome, cervicobrachial syndrome, radicular syndrome, pathological changes in the spine).

Similar products in ampoules

The easiest way to replace Combilipen in injections is to buy ampoules with vitamins B1, B6 and B12 separately. They are always available in pharmacies and are relatively inexpensive. However, it is certainly more convenient to use a ready-made vitamin complex. One of the best representatives of this class is the drug Milgamma, the composition of which is completely identical to Kombilipen. The advantage of Milgamma is also that it practically does not cause side effects.

Intramuscular administration of vitamins is usually prescribed for acute conditions

REFERENCE: the price of Milgamma is much higher than the price of Combilipen. Depending on the pharmacy, the cost may differ by two and sometimes three times.

Russian-made drugs – Trigamma and Vitagamma – are more affordable. The price for these products starts from 130 rubles. The Ukrainian drug Vitaxon costs about twice as much, from 250 rubles and more. You can buy Compligan B at almost the same price as Combilipen.

Neuromultivitis

A vitamin complex with this name is produced in Russia and Austria. It is available both in tablets and in the form of a solution for intramuscular injection. There is no lidocaine in the solution, so Neuromultivit is suitable for people intolerant to this anesthetic.

The drug is indicated for use in polyneuropathies, intercostal neuralgia and inflammation of the trigeminal nerve. It is also prescribed for the treatment of radicular syndromes of various localizations and lumbar lumbago (lumboischialgia).

Neuromultivitis has virtually no contraindications and is not used only in cases of hypersensitivity to the components in its composition and in childhood. Among the few side effects, isolated cases of nausea, palpitations and skin rashes were noted.

Neurobion

This substitute for Kombilipen is produced in Austria and Germany. Dosage forms – tablets and injection solution. Indications for use:

  • trigeminal neuralgia;
  • neuritis of the facial nerve;
  • intercostal neuralgia;
  • radicular syndrome.

Side effects: hypersensitivity reactions to the components of the drug - increased sweating, tachycardia, skin itching and urticaria; nausea, vomiting, indigestion, headache.

Just like Neuromultivit, Neurobion does not contain the anesthetic Lidocaine, which should be taken into account when choosing a substitute drug

Contraindications – congenital intolerance to fructose and galactose, lactase deficiency, malabsorption syndrome (for tablet form).

The solution for injections is contraindicated in cases of thromboembolism and impaired hematopoietic function.

HELP: Neurobion is not prescribed to persons under 18 years of age.

Beviplex

This Yugoslav drug can be purchased in the form of a lyophilisate (powder) for the preparation of a solution or dragee. Beviplex is not available in ampoules. In addition to basic vitamins B1, B6 and B12, one tablet contains:

  • riboflavin – vitamin B2;
  • nicotinamide – vitamin B3, or vitamin PP;
  • Calcium pantothenate – vitamin B5.

Another component has been added to the powder - para-aminobenzoic acid, or vitamin B10.

Unlike most vitamin complexes, Beviplex is approved for use in pregnant and lactating women. It is also recommended to be taken during the planning stage of a child to prevent the development of neurological disorders

Thanks to this composition, Beviplex has a more extensive list of indications and is effectively used to treat:

  • neurological pathologies – neuritis, neuralgia, radiculitis, neuropathy;
  • primary (associated with malnutrition) and secondary deficiency of B vitamins, which occurs during long-term treatment with antibiotics, cytostatics or malabsorption in the small intestine;
  • skin diseases - dermatosis of various origins, neurodermatitis, eczema and psoriasis;
  • ophthalmological diseases – keratitis, conjunctivitis, corneal opacities;
  • endarteritis.

Beviplex can also be prescribed as a general tonic for liver dysfunction, asthenic syndrome, neurasthenia and unbalanced nutrition.

CAUTION: the drug is contraindicated in persons receiving treatment with Levodopa.

Side effects of the drug Beviplex are limited only to allergic reactions.

Instructions for use

Combilipen injections

The drug is administered intramuscularly. For severe symptoms of the disease, prescribe 2 ml daily for 5-7 days, then 2 ml 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks; in mild cases - 2 ml 2-3 times a week for 7-10 days.

The duration is determined by the doctor individually depending on the severity of the symptoms of the disease, but should not exceed 2 weeks. For maintenance therapy, oral forms of B vitamins are recommended.

Tabs tablets

Combilipen tablets should be taken after meals, without chewing and with a small amount of liquid. Adults are prescribed 1 tablet 1-3 times a day. The duration of the course is as recommended by the doctor. Treatment with the drug in high doses for more than 4 weeks is not recommended.

Reviews about the use of the drug

Dmitro. The intramuscular route of administration is not ideal, one, two, three doses parenterally, then switch to oral administration, as indicated in the instructions. Good doses of vitamins, accompanying iron, a little lidocaine for existing ventricular extrasystole, but this limits the use. It is especially useful for patients with seizures and macrocytosis. In some cases, additional antimicrobial chemotherapy will be required.....

Olya. My husband often complains of back pain. Doctors prescribed him various drugs. They didn't cost much, but they weren't much use. But a year ago, an acquaintance advised me to pierce the Combilipen; it saves him from intercostal neuralgia. I gave my husband a weekly course myself. His health has improved significantly. Now I inject once every six months for preventive purposes. The injections are quite painful, but effective.

Alexa. My father has frequent back problems. We bought many different ointments and tablets, but only Combilipen helped us. According to the father, the injections are not painful and quickly relieve pain. Now we always keep a package of medicine in the refrigerator in reserve.

Varvara. I bought a combilipen for my mother, she has had problems with her back for a long time, the periodicity pinches her. We took a risk and tried injections, I injected myself, my mother tolerated it normally, but we were very pleased with the result. It helps very well and relieves pain, mom can move freely again and take care of herself

Grigorievich. I took injections with Combilipen when my back was severely twisted. I had to go to work urgently and didn’t have time to get sick. The drug helps quickly, relieves pain and does not bother you for a long time. But my heart rate increased greatly after it, I thought this was a possible side effect. But I healed my back and it’s great!

Interaction

If Kombilipen injections or oral administration of the drug are combined with treatment with Levodopa, the effect of vitamin B6 on the body is reduced.

You cannot inject medications with substances that have a redox effect, as they are incompatible with vitamin B1. These are mercuric chloride, carbonate, iodide, acetate, tannic acid. In addition, thiamine should not be combined with sodium phenobarbital, riboflavin, metabisulfite, benzylpenylene, or dextrose.

Thiamine is destroyed very quickly when in contact with copper. Thiamine is also inactivated when the pH exceeds 3. Vitamin B12 is not compatible with heavy metal compounds.

Contraindications, overdose

Are there any contraindications? The description indicates that the drug is not recommended for use in the following cases:

  • hypersensitivity to individual components;
  • decompensated heart failure in acute and severe forms;
  • childhood.

An overdose is accompanied by tachycardia, increased sweating, urticaria, itching, vomiting, nausea, dizziness; in the presence of these symptoms, symptomatic treatment is carried out.

Is Combilipen compatible with alcohol?

As a result of drinking alcoholic beverages, the absorption of B vitamins decreases, so it is not recommended to take the drug and alcohol simultaneously during the treatment period.

Pharmacological interaction - Vitamin B1 is incompatible with reducing and oxidizing substances and completely disintegrates in sulfate-containing solutions. Vitamin B12 is incompatible with ascorbic acid and heavy metal salts; levodopa reduces the effectiveness of vitamin B6.
