How to enter an educational institution?

The selection of candidates for admission to military medical universities is carried out by military registration and enlistment offices at the place of residence, the leadership of special educational institutions in the Moscow Region system, as well as commanders of military units (for military candidates).

To do this, those interested must submit an application to the specified authorities. School graduates submit an application to the military registration and enlistment office.

Important! Admission is carried out on the basis of the approved Regulations and Rules. Applications for admission to the university must be submitted by April 20 (for military personnel - by April 1).

Main requirements for candidates

Candidates for admission to a military medical university are subject to the following requirements:

  • no restrictions on age, citizenship and other circumstances. Checked by the authorities accepting the application;
  • state of health allowing him to perform the duties of a military doctor. It is determined by the medical commission. It is mandatory to have a fluorogram (x-ray) of the lungs and paranasal sinuses, an ECG, blood and urine test results, as well as tests for RW, HIV infection, hepatitis B and C. Tests for narcotic drugs are carried out;
  • sufficient level of physical fitness. Determined by conducting verification tests according to established standards;
  • sufficient level of education. It is assessed based on the results of passing the Unified State Exam.

For future doctors, the degree (category) of professional suitability is important. It is determined by the commission through socio-psychological analysis, psychological and psychophysiological examination , regulated by Order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation dated January 26, 2000 No. 50. Based on the results of the analysis, one of 4 possible categories is issued: full compliance (primary recommendation), recommendation for admission, conditional compliance and non-compliance (not recommended for admission).

What documents should I provide?

For admission to a military medical university, the following documents are required:

  1. Statement.
  2. Identification card (passport or military ID), birth certificate.
  3. Education document.
  4. Autobiography.
  5. Characteristics issued at the place of study, work or military service.
  6. Unified State Examination results.
  7. Medical examination card with attached vaccination certificates from anti-tuberculosis, psychoneurological, drug treatment and dermatovenerological institutions.
  8. Extracts from an outpatient card (past illnesses, injuries, operations performed, chronic diseases).
  9. The above results of analyzes and examinations.
  10. Documents on admission benefits (if any).
  11. 3 photos measuring 4.5x6 cm (certified).

Important! If a serviceman enters a university, he submits a report to the commander and attaches the serviceman’s service card. All submitted documents must be dated the year of admission.

Exams and standards

Verification tests are carried out in several categories. The level of education is assessed by points obtained on the Unified State Examination in chemistry, biology and the Russian language. Chemistry is a core subject. For a separate category of graduates of general education institutions where the Unified State Exam is not required, entrance exams in these subjects are held at the university, and the results are assessed on a 100-point scale.

Physical fitness is determined by testing in accordance with NFP-2009. Boys take the 100 and 3000 m races, as well as pull-ups on the horizontal bar. For girls, there is a 100 and 1000 m run, as well as body bends. Points are awarded according to the table in the NFP. For an individual exercise, the minimum score is 26. In total, the candidate must score at least 120 points. For military officers, their own standards are established taking into account the age group.

Benefits in the form of additional points are provided for winners of Olympiads in tested subjects and holders of individual achievements in educational programs. When assessing physical fitness, the presence of sports categories, the presence of sports achievements, and the results of passing the GTO standards are taken into account. The admissions committee carefully checks the accuracy of the submitted documents for the right to preferential admission.

What is the passing score?

The only military medical university available for admission to school graduates is the Military Medical Academy named after. Kirov. For admission there is a minimum passing score on the Unified State Examination. It varies depending on the chosen specialty. For “General Medicine” and “Dentistry” a minimum total score of 185 is required (chemistry - 65, biology and Russian language - 50 each). When choosing “Pharmaceutics” and “Medical and Preventive Affairs”, 150 points are enough (50 for each subject).

It is important to remember that a sufficient score on the Unified State Exam does not guarantee admission. To enroll in a university, you must successfully pass physical fitness tests and an interview on psychological suitability. Physical fitness tests are equivalent to testing the level of education, and an insufficient score on them does not provide the opportunity to enroll in an institute, despite a high Unified State Examination result.
